Why Can't I Make an In-App Purchase?

If you're having trouble making in-app purchases on Insight Timer, it's often because of device-level restrictions. We've put together steps for both iOS and Android to help you get back on track quickly.


For iPhone or iPad (iOS)

  1. Open your device's Settings.
  2. Tap Screen Time.
  3. Select Content & Privacy Restrictions.
  4. Make sure Content & Privacy Restrictions is turned on.
  5. Tap iTunes & App Store Purchases.
  6. Select In-app Purchases.
  7. Ensure it's set to Allow.


If restrictions are still preventing purchases, check your Screen Time Passcode settings—you may need to adjust those as well.


For Android Devices

  1. Open the Google Play Store app.
  2. Tap your profile icon in the top-right corner.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Tap Authentication.
  5. Select Require authentication for purchases.
  6. Choose your preferred setting, such as For all purchases through Google Play on this device.


If your device supports it, you can also enable fingerprint or biometric authentication for added security on purchases.


Still Having Issues?

If you continue to experience problems, make sure your payment method is valid and that your device software is up to date. Both of these can affect your ability to complete in-app purchases.
